Dependency court exists to keep children safe, and when the stresses of life have become too much and things have gone too far, whenever possible, to help parents get back on track, through Family Reunification (FR).
Without mediation, too often, co-parents exit the system without a detailed visitation schedule. With no agreement there's no plan, just chaos and renewed anxiety, which can lead to relapses.
